Home values and house prices are down recently: The economy down shift has been to a large degree the result of an over inflated real estate market. This has caused hosing prices to devalue to a much more realistic price. It will probably be several years before the house prices go up again. Those looking to buy to live or buy for long term investment, now is the time.
Those looking to sell your home will have a tough time. I can say from my own personal experience, the value of my home has decreased and there are many homes for sale on my street. It has become evident that in general Pheonix home values have dropped.
